Roseline and Denis Bocquet founded SPRL DBI VITRUVE in October, 1986.
At the time, the company focused on traditional decorative acid-etching treatment for flat glass. Over the years, DBI VITRUVE refined and adapted new treatment methods to satisfy the strictest quality and creative requirements. Traditional and specialized sandblasting and coating were added to complete DBI VITRUVE’S upper scale offer.
In 1990, the company transferred its activity to Orcq, strategically located at the crossroads of Wallonia, France and Flanders. Among the first to locate in western Tournai, DBI VITRUVE set up headquarters in new infrastructures, better adapted to its current activity as well as future changes.
The company’s unique structure and quality treatments, as well as its proven professionalism, rapidly made DBI VITRUVE a preferred intermediary for glassmakers who work with upper scale decorative and architectural glass. The company’s experience allows it to perfect procedures and invent new ones, some in close collaboration with its customers.
In 1998, the Saint-Gobain Glass Group took control of the company, and SPRL DBI VITRUVE became a subsidiary of one of the most important actors in the glass sector, constituting a limited liability company called DBI SA. Rigor and standardized procedures helped DBI SA strengthen its internal structure and organization and build a privileged relationship with other Saint-Gobain subsidiaries.
In November, 2005, internal policies from headquarters ended with a proposal to founders to give DBI SA back its independence. In May, 2006, a new generation finalized the operation giving the company a desire for renewal on its 20th birthday.
Today, the company is back to a simple, small, family-type company structure, and we, the undersigned, are refocusing the company’s future and ambitions on essential values on which the company has built its reputation; exceptionally high quality work, flexible production with respect to the environment and personalized customer service. All of this is possible thanks to a unique, experienced and highly motivated team.
We are here to serve you.
